Breast cancer,art and motherhood / Cancer du sein,art,maternage / Tumore al seno,arte e maternità

Still alive waiting for my rainbow - ACEO - 30/08/2013

Few days ago I came across a pics on the internet from an incredible and beautiful project "The scar project" from photographer David Jay.
This kicked me in the stomach since of course these photos are beautiful but I was amazed by these  young women  that had go through breast cancer.
These photo are hard, you don't have doubt on the fact that they had and still have a difficult  time, how could be different? Still they're alive, proud, defeating their and our fears.
Since the feminine has always been my main topic and motherhood a huge part of it I couldn't resist on doing a piece (first one?) myself part of my 365 art project (but exceptionally not for sale).
These women remind me once again how we can be strong, sensitive, powerful and amazing even in the worst period of our life.
Thanks to you all!

"The scar project"del fotografo David Jay.
Grazie a tutte queste donne!
